Section 36 consent for the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm was granted by the UK Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) in August 2008, authorising construction and operation of the 315 MW offshore wind farm in the Greater Wash. This government consent marked a major progression for project developer Scira Offshore Energy Ltd toward building the wind farm.
