In July 2009, Scira Offshore Energy submitted the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm Decommissioning Programme to the consultees identified by the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), in response to a notice issued under Section 105(2) of the Energy Act 2004 requiring an approved decommissioning plan prior to construction.
