Around August 2019, The Crown Estate completed a plan-level Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) for the 2017 offshore wind project extension applications, confirming that seven of the eight proposed extensions, including the Sheringham Shoal Offshore Wind Farm Extension Project, could progress towards award of seabed rights. This assessment evaluated potential impacts on European-designated nature conservation sites and formed a key regulatory step enabling Sheringham Shoal Extension to move forward in the Crown Estate’s 2017 Extensions programme.
