Sheringham Shoal Extension's Agreement for Lease (AfL) was signed with The Crown Estate by Equinor on 25 August 2020 under the 2017 Project Extensions Round. Together with the Dudgeon Extension AfL signed in April 2020, the two leases secured approximately 196 km² of seabed off the Norfolk coast, doubling the size of Equinor's Norfolk operations.
