Description
Petrofac provided an EPCI contract for the Seagreen offshore transmission assets that now form the Seagreen Phase 1 OFTO. The company delivered the engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, offshore installation and commissioning of the HVAC offshore substation platform, including its topside and supporting jacket, located about 27 km off the Angus coast. Petrofac’s scope also covered the onshore grid connection substation in Angus, including all civil works and supply and installation of major electrical equipment. These offshore and onshore substations were developed for Seagreen Wind Energy Limited as part of the Seagreen Phase 1 wind farm grid connection and were subsequently designated as the OFTO transmission assets to be transferred under Ofgem’s regime.
