By January 2019, initial tenders had been returned for the Seagreen Electrical System Integration package covering the transmission works, with bids based on a 275 kV / 1,500 MW solution for the onshore and offshore substations and export cables. Selected tenderers were then asked to update their prices for a revised 220 kV / 1,075 MW configuration, marking a key procurement milestone in refining the scope and commercial terms for the assets that became the Seagreen Phase 1 OFTO.
