Regulatory documents for Seagreen Phase 1 show that seabed preparation and clearance (UXO, boulder and debris removal) for the Offshore Transmission Assets was scheduled for mid-2021. Seagreen's March 2021 UXO, boulder and debris clearance Supporting Environmental Information states that clearance activities at the offshore substation platform (OSP) and wider site were anticipated to commence in June 2021, ahead of main offshore installation. A July 2021 Forth and Tay Commercial Fisheries Working Group newsletter then reports that pre-commencement surveys were continuing and that boulder and UXO clearance works would take place, commencing July/August 2021, before offshore construction in Q3 2021. Taken together with subsequent successful construction and commissioning, this indicates offshore site preparation began around mid‑summer 2021.
