First power on the Seagreen Phase 1 transmission system was achieved in August 2022, enabling initial export of electricity from the Seagreen offshore wind farm via the offshore substation platform and three 220 kV export cable circuits to the new onshore substation at Tealing, Angus, for connection into the SSEN 275 kV grid node.
