On 24 August 2023, East Lothian Council’s Planning Committee unanimously approved the detailed application for the Seagreen 1A onshore substation at Cockenzie, confirming the design details of the substation buildings and associated landscaping and meaning that all planning consents required for the onshore works were secured.
