In February 2024, the first phase of offshore geotechnical seabed investigations for the Seagreen 1A expansion began at the Seagreen site off the Angus coast, using the 90‑metre vessel Connector to carry out cone penetrometer testing at nearly 100 locations to characterise seabed conditions for up to 36 additional turbines and associated infrastructure.
