On 7 June 2022, Seaway 7 (part of Subsea 7) was selected by Seagreen 1A Limited as the preferred supplier for a major EPCI package on the Seagreen 1A offshore wind project, with the anticipated scope including procurement and installation of the inner-array cables connecting up to 36 additional turbines adjacent to the existing Seagreen wind farm off Scotland. The preferred supplier appointment, to be executed from Seaway 7’s Aberdeen office, remains subject to Seagreen 1A securing consent, final investment decision by SSE Renewables and TotalEnergies, and finalisation of contractual terms, with offshore work expected to start in late 2024 and potential operation in 2025/26.
