MMT carried out an earlier geophysical survey for the Sea Link route in 2021. The acquired geophysical datasets (including MBES, SSS and sub-bottom profiling) were later incorporated into the Sea Link Integrated Geophysical & Geotechnical Survey Report alongside subsequent survey data to support seabed characterisation, burial assessment and route engineering. The MMT dataset provided baseline information used to refine cable routing, inform geotechnical investigation targeting and contribute to the project environmental and engineering assessments submitted as part of the DCO process. (Past tense used because the survey work was carried out in 2021.)
