Ocean Ecology

Ocean Ecology was contracted by Acteon/Terrasond to deliver environmental services for the BlueFloat Energy and Renantis Partnership’s Scottish floating offshore wind farms, including Sinclair and Scaraben. The scope, delivered as part of the 2023 reconnaissance geophysical and environmental survey campaigns, included marine mammal mitigation (using JNCC-certified Marine Mammal Observers and Passive Acoustic Monitoring operators) to support compliance, and a benthic characterisation campaign covering sampling plan design, benthic community and habitat assessment, identification of species/habitats of conservation importance, and reporting to support EIA and consenting workstreams.
