In October 2006, Terna commenced geophysical seabed surveys for the SAPEI interconnector, carrying out marine investigations along the planned Tyrrhenian Sea route between Fiume Santo in Sardinia and Latina on the Italian mainland to evaluate and map conditions for the deepwater HVDC cable installation.
