Brown & May Marine Ltd was engaged by the Salamander joint venture in December 2022 to provide commercial fisheries support for the floating offshore wind project off northeast Scotland. The scope covered fisheries liaison, characterisation of commercial fishing activity in the project's offshore array area and export cable corridor, and the supporting evidence required for stakeholder engagement and EIA chapters dealing with commercial fisheries impacts. The fisheries workstream sits alongside the broader EIA delivered by MarineSpace/ERM and the HRA delivered by NIRAS, and the resulting evidence base ultimately supported the Section 36 consent and Marine Licence package awarded by Scottish Ministers on 24 July 2025.
