First power on the 100 MW Salamander floating offshore wind project — the energisation of the first WTG and initial export to the GB transmission network via SSEN's 132 kV connection at the proposed tee compound between Peterhead and St Fergus — is projected for year-end 2030. The schedule is conditional on a successful CfD award in AR8 (round opens July 2026, results expected late 2026), FID in 2028 and offshore construction start in 2029, with first power landing approximately 12 months after offshore construction start in line with the cadence observed on Pentland and other UK floating-wind demonstrators. Date is an analyst projection on cohort timing and will be superseded by any developer or regulator restated schedule.
