Description
Prysmian was awarded a contract by Réseau de Transport d'Électricité (RTE) to deliver high-voltage export cable links for the French offshore wind farm grid connections, including Saint-Nazaire. For Saint-Nazaire, the scope covered the design, supply/manufacture, installation, testing and commissioning of the HVAC export cable link(s) between the offshore substation/wind farm and the French onshore grid, covering both the submarine and land routes. Third-party reporting described the Saint-Nazaire link as two 220 kV three-core XLPE-insulated submarine export cables, each about 34 km offshore.
