In 2004, a Marine Environment Monitoring Programme (MEMP) for the Robin Rigg Offshore Wind Farm was developed in conjunction with the Robin Rigg Management Group (RRMG), in accordance with the Section 36 consent granted by Scottish Ministers under the Electricity Act 1989. The MEMP, required under consent condition 6.4, set out a structured programme to monitor and record any physical and ecological changes arising from construction and operation of the wind farm, focusing on benthos, fish, birds and marine mammals.
