In early 2008, Oceanteam Power and Umbilical (OPU) collected the 132 kV export cables for the Robin Rigg project from Italy and shipped them to the UK, but because the onshore horizontal directional drill ducts and offshore substation foundations were not yet ready, the cables were placed into temporary storage.
