Omexom Renewable Erergies Offshore GmbH operated the Riffgat offshore wind farm from the end of 2020, taking over operational responsibility for the site located around 15 km off Borkum in the German North Sea. The role covered ongoing operations and maintenance activities associated with the wind farm’s generating assets and day-to-day operational performance. The project consisted of 30 Siemens wind turbines in the 3.6 MW class, and Omexom’s operations role applied across the operational fleet rather than being limited to a subset of units. This scope implied responsibility for coordinating routine servicing, corrective maintenance, and operational oversight required to keep the turbines available for power generation under normal operating conditions. EWE’s project information identified Omexom as the operator from the end of 2020 and noted that the former operator was EWE OSS GmbH (now part of the Vince Group). The statement established Omexom’s O&M engagement as the active operating arrangement for Riffgat from that point onward.
