Turnkey contract for design/manufacture of just over 24 km of 33 kV XLPE submarine infield cables and installation incl. laying, pull-in and protection using Capjet trenching machine for Riffgat.
Nexans was awarded a turnkey contract by Offshore-Windpark RIFFGAT GmbH & Co. KG to design, manufacture, supply and install the 33 kV submarine infield (inter-array) cable system for the Riffgat offshore wind farm, located around 15 km northwest of Borkum. Nexans’ Hannover facility designed and manufactured just over 24 km of 33 kV XLPE submarine infield cables to interconnect the turbines and connect them to the offshore transformer substation. Nexans in Norway executed the offshore scope including engineering, cable laying, pull-in of cable ends to the wind turbines, and seabed cable protection/burial using the Capjet trenching machine, together with ancillary equipment.
