EWE Offshore Service und Solutions GmbH awarded Deutsche Windtechnik a maintenance contract for the 30 Siemens SWT-3.6-120 turbines at the Riffgat offshore wind farm in the German North Sea, following an EU tender. The agreement, under which Deutsche Windtechnik provides basic maintenance, troubleshooting, remote fault elimination, spare parts management, and safety and electrical testing from June 2019, marks the first time an independent service provider has been contracted to maintain Siemens SWT-3.6 offshore turbines.
