EWE and Enova commenced offshore construction of the Riffgat wind farm when the first of 30 monopile foundations, up to 70 metres long and around 800 tonnes, was installed in 18–23 metre water depths off Borkum using Seaway Heavy Lifting’s crane vessel Oleg Strashnov.
