In mid‑September 2013, following clearance of the route and release of the final section on 13 September, TenneT commenced the last phase of submarine export cable installation for the Riffgat grid connection, loading the penultimate cable section onto the cable‑lay vessel BoDo Installer in Emden and starting pre‑flushing of the trench ahead of laying the remaining sections.
