On 22 March 2013 the UK Green Investment Bank completed its first direct equity investment in offshore wind by acquiring a 24.95% stake in Rhyl Flats Wind Farm Limited from companies owned by RWE AG for £57.5 million, joining the existing owner as a minority shareholder in the 90 MW operating project.
