Description
NKT delivered the 220 kV AC high-voltage export cable system for the Rentel offshore wind farm in Belgium. NKT was responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of an approximately 40 km extruded three-core 220 kV XLPE HVAC submarine cable system, produced at NKT’s Karlskrona, Sweden factory and installed offshore using the cable-laying vessel NKT Victoria to enable power export from the Rentel offshore substation to the onshore grid connection at Zeebrugge/Stevin.
