By December 2016, VBMS had completed installation of Rampion’s two 16‑kilometre 150 kV HVAC export cables, which run from the offshore wind farm site 13 kilometres off the Sussex coast to landfall, providing the main electrical transmission link between the offshore substation and the onshore grid connection.
