Onshore Construction Start

DELAYED +2yr (May 2026): Projected onshore construction start by end-2025 is not evidenced post-DCO. Latest schedule reporting after consent indicates overall construction is expected to begin in 2027–28 (pre-FID milestone still outstanding per RWE), so shifting onshore construction start to 2027 (latest within that window). --- West Sussex County Council indicates that construction work on the Rampion 2 project, including the buried onshore transmission cable route of roughly 36–38.8km with jointing pits and a new satellite substation near Bolney/Oakendene to connect into the National Grid at Bolney, is not expected to begin until later in 2025.
