On 17 April 2019, following Ørsted Power (UK) Limited’s Addendum Safety Zone application, the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy approved modified safety zones for the Race Bank Offshore Wind Farm, establishing 500-metre zones around turbines and offshore substations during major maintenance (excluding when an SOV is used) and 150-metre zones during normal operations when a Service Operation Vessel is stationed alongside, subject to notice conditions for enforceability.
