In July 2014, DONG Energy awarded engineering firm WSP a contract to help design the onshore substation for the Race Bank project, providing onshore electrical and civil design services for the substation at the grid connection point that forms part of the Race Bank OFTO transmission assets. The WSP award complemented Atkins’ earlier offshore substation design contract, completing the main design appointments for the project’s transmission infrastructure.
