DONG Energy awarded Atkins a contract to design the offshore substation(s) for the Race Bank offshore wind project, covering the engineering design of the offshore platforms and associated electrical infrastructure that would become part of the Race Bank OFTO transmission system. The design award, reported on 8 April 2014, expanded Atkins’ role on the project to include Race Bank’s offshore substations.
