Construction work on the ROW01 Transmission Assets, including the onshore substation at Walpole and the onshore export cables between the landfall near Sutton Bridge and the substation, started in 2015. This marked the beginning of physical onshore works for the Race Bank OFTO HVAC transmission link connecting the Race Bank offshore wind farm to the GB transmission system.
