Prysmian press release (31 July 2024) on the Peninsula–Baleares 2 interconnection says Prysmian has received a “Letter of Award” from Red Eléctrica and that the parties “will hold an exclusive negotiation of the contract, with the signing foreseen for within the end of 2024.” This supports a projection that the HVDC cable supply/installation contract (i.e., cable supplier selected/contracted) is expected by end-2024.
