On 10 February 2026, the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero granted development consent by making the Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm Development Consent Order for the project promoted by GT R4 Limited. The consent authorises construction, operation, maintenance and decommissioning of an offshore wind farm approximately 54 km off the Lincolnshire coast, including up to 100 wind turbine generators with up to 1.5 GW capacity, up to four to six offshore substations, up to two offshore reactive compensation platforms, offshore and onshore cabling, and a new onshore substation at Surfleet Marsh connected to the National Grid.
