On 14 October 2024, TotalEnergies publicly announced that its 1 GW offshore wind project on German concession O-2.2 in the Baltic Sea will be developed under the new name OstSee Energies (OSE). In the same announcement, the company confirmed the site’s location around 40 kilometres from the coast and outlined its development concept within its German offshore portfolio, including joint environmental surveys with neighbouring projects and ongoing geophysical, geotechnical and technical studies, ahead of a targeted final investment decision in 2028 and first power generation in 2031.
