Equinor awarded Aibel a front-end engineering and design (FEED) contract for the Oseberg Gas Capacity Upgrade and Power from Shore (OGP) project. Under this portfolio agreement call-off, Aibel is responsible for developing the technical solution for partially electrifying the Oseberg Field Centre and Oseberg South from shore, including new topside modules and integration work at the onshore facility at Kollsnes. The FEED covers concept and detailed design studies for the onshore electrical infrastructure, including the new substation that will receive power from the Norwegian grid and feed the offshore link. The contract, valued at about NOK 120 million, provides the engineering basis for the subsequent EPCI phase that will maximise gas export capacity and cut CO2 emissions from Oseberg.
