During-construction environmental monitoring at Ormonde began in 2010, with a programme of construction surveys including sediment and underwater noise monitoring during piling, marine mammal observation and acoustic monitoring, boat-based and aerial bird surveys, migration counts, and archaeological investigations along the onshore cable route.
