In August 2012, Ormonde Offshore Wind Farm received the RenewableUK Energy Awards ‘Large Project’ national award, recognising the project and its engineering and project management partners for exceptional performance in design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and handover, including being built on schedule with low accident rates and innovative use of 5 MW turbines on jacket foundations.
