Energinet commenced offshore construction works for System 2 of the Oresund 400 kV interconnector replacement between Skibstrupgaard (Denmark) and Kristinelund (Sweden). JD Contractor was awarded the cable installation contract, with Hellenic Cables supplying the new 400 kV cables. The previous construction start event (2019) related to System 1 replacement by Svenska Kraftnat / NKT / Boskalis, which was completed in 2020.
