The Danish authority Styrelsen for Grøn Arealomlægning og Vandmiljø (SGAV) issued a § 25 environmental permit for Øresund System 2 – Udskiftning af kabelforbindelse (replacement of the 400 kV FL25 System 2 cable) in November 2025. The decision document (file name dated 26-11-25) grants approval for establishment and operation of the new land and subsea cable on the Danish side following completion of the EIA process and Espoo consultation, which constitutes EIA approval for the Danish section.
