On 18 December 2015, an international competitive tender was launched inviting bids for the transportation, installation and protection of new 132 kV three-core submarine cables in the Øresund Strait between Denmark and Sweden, initiating the procurement process for works on the Øresund 132 kV interconnector replacement project.
