By 2017, Hellenic Cables, under contract to Energinet, had completed the design, manufacturing, supply and supervised installation of the high-voltage submarine and associated land cables for the Øresund 132 kV interconnection linking Denmark and Sweden, replacing ageing 132 kV cables across the Øresund strait and forming part of Energinet’s Øresund 132 kV renewal project planned to enter operation shortly thereafter.
