By December 2024, the Poseidon Wind Energy consortium had completed energy yield and decarbonisation assessments for its 1,008 MW floating wind farm off northeast Sardinia, estimating annual production of around 2.7 TWh of renewable electricity, enough to supply approximately 1,000,000 households and avoid 900,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year in line with Italy’s 2030 National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan.
