Project companies for the Tyrrhenian, Nurax, and Poseidon floating wind farms engaged Seas Geosciences to carry out preliminary geotechnical investigations in early 2024, including cone penetration tests up to 40 metres below the seabed and borehole drilling in water depths up to 1,600 metres, to support foundation and cable design. Seas Geosciences will work from a vessel partnered with Italian company Argo to assess seabed and subsurface conditions across the project areas off northeast Sardinia and Lazio.
