Description
Prysmian Group was awarded contracts by Nobelwind NV to design, manufacture and supply 33 kV submarine inter-array cables for the Bligh Bank 2 (Nobelwind/Belwind 2) offshore wind farm near Zeebrugge, Belgium. Prysmian’s scope included supplying the medium-voltage submarine cables used to connect the wind turbines to the Offshore High Voltage Substation (OHVS). The contract also covered supply of a 33 kV coupling cable intended as a back-up connection between the Belwind 1 OHVS and the Bligh Bank OHVS, and Prysmian was to provide offshore cable termination and testing services. The works related to the project’s construction phase, with installation works scheduled for completion by the first half of 2017.
