In October 2015, Nobelwind NV—a consortium of Parkwind, Sumitomo and Meewind—took final investment decision and reached financial close for the 165 MW Nobelwind offshore wind farm about 46–47 km off the Belgian coast, securing around EUR 653 million of project funding including a significant loan from the European Investment Bank and enabling construction to commence in 2016.
