Statnett commenced the planned testing of the trading solution and technical/IT interfaces for North Sea Link on 15 June 2021. The tests focused on end-to-end communications between power exchanges, market systems and the converter stations, and included controlled electricity transmissions (generally Tuesday–Friday) to validate messaging and trigger responses across market and operational systems.
