The North Sea Link project team completed a detailed offshore seabed survey using non-intrusive geophysical techniques to characterise seabed type along the route between Kvilldal (Norway) and East Sleekburn/Blyth (UK). The work supported engineering design, burial assessments and environmental studies and informed routing to avoid sensitive habitats and seabed features. The survey formed part of the desktop routing study and the Environmental Report prepared for the project.
