In 2015 Statnett and National Grid awarded Prysmian Group the principal contract to supply and install the major subsea HVDC cable scopes for the North Sea Link project (Lots 2 and 3). The award covered approximately 950 km of subsea HVDC cable for the ±525 kV, 1,400 MW link and included manufacture and installation activities executed from Prysmian’s cable factories and installation fleet. The contract value was reported at around €550 million.
