As part of early development and route selection, North Sea Link completed a desktop routing study and designed the cable corridor to avoid sensitive areas, including known wrecks and potential unexploded ordnance (UXO) and areas of reef habitat. These avoidance and assessment measures were documented in the project Environmental Report and informed subsequent survey and engineering work.
